AICE Israeli Film Festival 2009 Opening Night, Melbourne August 2009


Celebrating the launch of the sixth film festival, the AICE Israeli Film Festival opened at the Palace Cinema Como on Tuesday 25 August with the Australian premiere of Lost Islands. The most successful film at the Israeli box office in 2008 with more than 200,000 tickets sold, the film told the story of twin brothers growing up in the 1980s.

Launching the festival was the Ambassador of Israel, H.E. Yuval Rotem along with speakers Federal MP Michael Danby, Victorian MP Tony Lupton and AICE Chairman Albert Dadon AM.
